Great way to spend a few hours!!! Really informative and fun - learn by doing and while tasting a few gins too! Loved how we could go home with our own gin and personalised label.
My wife and I attended the gin workshop and shared a still. It was an interactive and informative experience for both of us! We both like gin but didn't know the intricacies of how it was made until Andrew took us through the process. He explained the steps we would be undertaking and guided us through all the flavours, helping us match them together to make a great tasting gin. The AI label process was also a lot of fun!nIt was a great experience and we would recommend it to anyone interested in gin and distilling your own personal creation!
I’ve done plenty of “meh” tourist activities over the years, and this was something completely different. I’m not given to hyperbole, but The Cargo Collective was stellar — totally recommended. We were welcomed with a gin and tonic, then guided through the process, the botanicals flavours, and how different combinations work. With the team’s help, we designed our own gin, with them filling in the gaps to make sure it blended properly.nThe distilling took a couple of hours, during which we designed bottle labels and ate pizza. It all culminated in labelled bottles to take home and a cocktail made with our own gin — and we actually produced something very drinkable.nThey’re also clearly set up to run events — and quite large ones. Bring your mates for something genuinely different: ski club, rugby club, knitting circle… you’ll be the star of your group for choosing this as a venue. Great fun. Budget 3+ hours.
We had such a fun time at the gin-making session with Andrew. He really knows his stuff, and you can tell he enjoys what he does. There were so many different spices and botanicals to choose from, and he explained everything in a way that made it easy and actually really interesting! to understand.nnOne of my favourite parts was getting to design our own labels with AI — it felt so cool and made the whole thing feel extra personal.nnHighly recommend this to anyone looking for a fun, hands-on, and educational gin-making session. Andrew is fantastic!
Had an awesome experience!! The food was fantastic, but the highlight was definitely the raclette. It was my first time trying it, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The atmosphere was great, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more. Highly recommend!
