I looked on the website for the closing time, 4.30 and took the ferry to arrive in time to purchase the item I wanted.  When I arrived at 4.15 the door was closed and there was someone inside. A moment later she appeared at the door and said the shop was closed and she had to leave to catch a ferry to Russell. After I pointed out it was not yet closing time she virtually pushed me out of the door and left. I will not be shopping there again

Awesome little souvenir store. Many items can't be found anywhere else and it's a awesome little spot with late opening hours and friendly employees and great music taste. Great little stop to grab stuff to give to people back home.

Great place to buy gifts for every special person in your life! I got my girlfriend a greenstone twist necklace here and she absolutely adores it. It was fairly inexpensive competitively as well.

Many of the items sold at The Cabbage Tree are created by local artists, making this a great stop for souvenirs. The staff are very courteous and helpful.
