Absolutely amazing meal! Highlights were the crayfish tortellini, beef tartare & barbecue eggplant. The food all arrived thoughtfully spaced out, a beautiful dining atmosphere and attentive staff.nnThe only very small criticism would be that staff were so so attentive we would be asked the same question multiple times by different staff members which somewhat interrupted our intimate valentines dinner. I’d recommend staff having “sections” if I was being super picky.nnWhole experience really was 10/10 and we can’t wait to return!
A great experience at the Chef’s Table. Was cool to watch the food get prepped and chat with the chef at the same time. Delicious food and will for sure be back, for dinner next time! The smoked tomato scrambled eggs and the beef tartare were amazing. Highly recommended.
I usually only have coffee and brunch, but i wanted to try their dinner, so i made the long drive. The food was absolutely delicious,after trying it, i can confidently say that the time and money spent were totally worth it. especially, Hazel's thoughtful recommendations, cheerful vibe, and perfect service made the dinner truly enjoyable. we can't wait to visit again soon.

We came all the way out to Helensville to have lunch here. The place is quite hidden, just off the main road so it can be easy to miss if you don't know it's there.nThe place had a really nice ambiance and a cozy feel to it. You walk straight into the view of the open kitchen which was quite nice. They did have indoor and outdoor areas which was good since the indoor area wasn't very big.nThe menu was quite interesting and there were multiple dishes which looked tasty. We started with the cassava chips and they were quite nice, more shoestring than the chunky ones you find elsewhere. The aioli was nice with the crispness of the chips. I grabbed the smoked leek and guanciale dish and that was quite nice. It also came with a slice of sourdough which hit the spot. I also tried the pork belly and that was quite good. The omelet was also nice. The brown butter pancake was quite fluffy and was more cake-like with its size.nThere were a few issues with the iced chocolate not being put through and the scone not coming with the cassava chips but they were able to sort it out fairly quickly. I did find the iced chocolate more dark than I enjoy.nIt was a really nice place for lunch. They also did have pastries available.
