Although you can't go wrong when it comes to food or shopping in Akaroa, The Brasserie delivers when it comes to atmosphere, food and service. First time being here for a breakfast and immediately fell in love. The seating, decorations, style, atmosphere and personality this place had is top notch. Definitely recommended and can't wait to go back for more!
We had late lunch at The Brassiere. Outdoor seats in the garden. Waitress lady is very helpful and friendly. Their fish and chips are yummy. We had good experience. Please note that they do charge the credit card surcharge. Also be careful with your food as there are few birds in the garden and they can grab your food if you leave the food unattended.
We went here for lunch. It's good located! Nice restaurant, lovely garden decorated in every corner. They had friendly staff and fast service. I got great seafood soup for cold day.
Apart from the slightly confusing way to get seated... it was incredible. The staff were super friendly and the atmosphere is like a fairytale. The breakfast selection... though a little bit more then what I would normally pay for breakfast... it was worth every single cent. Thankyou. I will be back and I will recommend you onwards.
Large cafe, very busy. Food was nice, baked beans were semi cold. When I went to pay the young girl was doing something on the till. Instead of saying, I'll be with you soon. She just ignored me standing there. Kid-friendliness: Bikes for the young ones to ride.
I’d have a hard time giving this anything less than 5 stars, the service was great and the food and coffee were simply exceptional. The breakfast foods are great, I got a big breakfast for $26, with the coffee it came to $32 and the quality was REALLY good.
Visited on a public holiday which included a 15% surcharge. Service was ok but a bit slow as our meals were warm but not hot. The table next to us arrived earlier than us but actually had to go into the cafe to order after they realised we were asked to order first. The outside seating was nice if a little crowded and some untidy areas off to one side. It's very small inside so if the weather is not good, you might be struggling for a table. Still, it was very busy when we arrived, unsure if that's because some cafes were closed due to the holiday or if this place is popular. Prices were ok but I'm not a fan of surcharges for public holidays, especially when the service is not on point. Bonus points for being dog friendly.
Just had lunch and the food was great. We ordered the fish and chip and Smoked Salmon. Both extremely tasty. The staff were very friendly. Service was good. A must try when you are in Akaroa.Food: 4/5
Daylight Saving started this morning, so decided I needed kai. Called in at The Brasserie Kitchen and Bar. Ordered the Bacon & Eggs with hashbrowns as an extra. Kai was delivered promptly and was delicious. Loved the two thick slices of toast and the bacon was crunchy in places and oh so tasty. Had a ka pai cup of kāwhe too. Really enjoyed visiting this place and definitely would recommend it.
I’d have a hard time giving this anything less than 5 stars, the service was great and very sympathic, you have to be patient and the food is very good.
