One of my favourite venues out west to shoot at! Epic lawn for ceremony that tree , close to some epic foresty photo spots and the pier, of course, a beautiful reception space, and phenomenal food. Can leave it totally as it is or dress it up, and either way it’s gorgeous.
Have done wedding Dj here two weeks back and i would say, Wonderful location and very helpful staff. Specifically Duty Manager Dianne for taking care of guests and supporting staff. Wish you guys all the very best and its lovely to play such a uniquw location.
A disappointing experience at this establishment tonight in regards to the meal and drinks served.nnBar person who took my meal order and drinks. No interaction or conversation while taking the order for the people I was with. No thanks after taking my payment and not wishing me a happy and rewarding experience at her bar / restaurant. Felt they really didn’t want to be there.nnA meal for one of us - Vegetarian burger - was tough and referred to as eating cardboard. In fact the person didn’t even eat all the meal.nnAnother staff member was chewing gum while in the restaurant. Not good while serving food.nnWe completed our meal and then continued to play pool. The bar staff made it quite clear that they were cleaning up and it made us feel that we needed to drink up and leave. Staff member cleared our table with no conversation or asking how we found the food!nnSo we decided that we didn’t feel welcome and that we should leave.nnUnfortunately on leaving we were thanked only by 1 staff member and the rest made no effort to thank us.nnReally need to ask why they are there? If they don’t enjoy it then they shouldn’t be there.nnI would say that it portraits a succinct lack of management and leadership skills.nnI am disappointed because it is a nice location, a nice bar and surroundings but unfortunately let down by unprofessional management and staff. I had been looking forward to it as the place was recommended to me. I even drove some distance to get there.
Got married at the boat house In April 2023. We saw so many venues but the Boat house was one venue that we couldn’t stop thinking about. Plenty of parking outside for guests. The venue itself is so beautiful that one shouldn’t need a lot of decorations, just keep it simple as the venue itself is organically elegant.nThe team at the boathouse made the process super simple.nVery accomodating and clear.nThe guests at our wedding couldn’t stop talking about how excellent their food was at the reception and they also enjoyed the venue and were very complimentary.nI highly recommend The Boat house for your next event.
I went to a wedding here last night. The food was INCREDIBLE SO SO DELICIOUS. Even the bread and butter at the start was amazing. The staff were friendly and efficient. The venue itself is beautiful.
