We came here for our anniversary and absolutely loved it. We stayed in the bush cottage, which was separate to the main beach house. We loved it as it gave us privacy and a view. There are a few steps uphill to get to the cottage but totally manageable. Pack light. Chris and Camila were amazing. Very hospitable and accomodating. Chris was so very kind to bring us drinks to our room. We can’t thank him enough! Fabulous hosts. The chef was exceptional. And she also makes an excellent vodka soda and fresh lime! Loved it. I would have to say the best food we had in a long time. We had the prawns and the pork belly dish for entree and mains fish snapper and the vegetarian mushroom dish. It was out of this world delicious. Breakfast is included in your stay which is fabulous. Takes the thought out of it. Breakfast was also amazing! Presentation of all the meals were fabulous! We had a really lovely time and will be recommending to our friends.
This place is like paradise. I felt like I was in Fiji and yet I was so close to home! A true relaxing retreat for our anniversary. I can’t wait to return again.
Amazing location with paddle and kayak available to enjoy the turquoise sea and we even saw some eagle rays ! Great spacious room and clean, king size bed very comfortable, amazing shower and an awesome view from our deck on the sea. An exceptional service well managed by Luke who is always ready to help. Great guide from some amazing walks. Breakfast, lunch and dinner made by the chef Karina are amazing and gourmet with New Zealand products and some great wine to go with the dinner either 3 or five course ! A very welcoming team altogether, i couldn’t recommend this place enough. Thanks again to Luke, Karina and the team for the stay it was just perfect.
We were at The Beach House just before Waitangi Day and had the greatest experience. We were greeted at the pier when we got off the ferry. Our room was excellent and had all amenities you could think of. We had some of the best seafood we have ever eaten sitting outside looking at the beautiful ocean. My wife has a dairy allergy that they took such detailed care to make sure everything was prepared properly. The three course dinner was sublime; each dish was better than the last. We were taken care of so well from start to finish we didn't want to leave.
Karina and Luke were fabulous hosts. Karina is an amazing chef who catered to our need. Nothing was to much trouble. We were treated as though we were the most important people staying. It is the most beautiful place to stay and we would recommend it to anyone. You can do as much or little as you like.
We had the pleasure of three days at The Beach House. What a fantastic break. An island escape without the big travel. Awesome food - the best Vegetarian menu we have been offered and attentive Managers in Luke and Karina. Hope to be back Jules and Jo
We came here for our honeymoon in 2018 and had the worst experience ever with diggers digging up the beach, generators going and no respect for us as guests. Luke and Karina have since taken over and offered for us to come back, we have just got back from our weekend away and it was a totally different experience, so relaxing, no maintenance or disrespect! the food was delish and Luke knows so much about where it all comes from, which is awesome to support NZ local businesses. The room was amazing, we had a beach front room and it was stunning with aircon for the hot nights, and probably one of the comfiest beds I've ever slept in. Coffee machine in the room was awesome and all of the added extras were not unnoticed. Perfect place to go to unwind, try your hand at paddle boarding and finish a couple of books. Thanks so much Luke and Karina you are definitely doing an awesome job with the place.
Had the most amazing experience at the beach house. My husband and I stayed a few nights for our wedding anniversary and we could be happier with the facility, place, staff, food, drink. It was perfect

Absolutely delighted with this beautiful place. Cris and his team made our vacation an unforgettable memory, from the moment of arrival in which Cris went out to receive us, until the last moment, the 5-star room, cleanliness and order, and finally the chef Cami's delicacies, made this place an unforgettable resort.
