We came down to the island to do the Rakiura track and stayed two days before and one day after the hike, with the Bay Motel. Vicki and Lindsay were such amazing hosts. Friendly and welcoming and the rooms were spacious and clean and tidy. Great location, a short walk to the centre of town.nWe loved our stay at the Bay Motel, and will be back in the future
Good sized, comfortable, clean rooms. We were picked up and dropped off at the ferry, and were able to drop off our bags until check in time. Easy walk to the shops/restaurants/museum. Large deck outside rooms.nnWifi and tv reception were a bit dodgy not surprisingly given the location.nnCould probably put a curtain across the door to the room to cut down light at night.nnPlenty of hooks and rails in the bathroom - best I’ve seen in any motel.
Great place to stay before or after some time on the track.nRooms are clean and comfortable.nIt’s located in a very convenient spot, only a couple of minutes walk from the centre of town.nThe owners are friendly and come to pick you up from the ferry or airfield.
Good location looking over the township. Sit on the balcony and watch the native birds flying close buy. Rooms serviced and pre ordering continental breakfast. A short stoll to shops, hotel and beach
Relaxing, tranquil, Tui birds singing, ocean view and just in town. Friendly staff and lots to do.
