We only stayed there for one day and were very sad to leave. Beautiful accommodation with breathtaking surroundings and views. Our room left nothing to be desired, great soundscape by the sea, perfect facilities and the most comfortable bed in all of New Zealand. The hosts Sandra and Doc are very hospitable and the most friendly people you could wish for. We hope to come back one day. Thanks a lot for everything.
Sandra & Doc were so nice and welcoming, attentive and considerate. The studio units were smartly designed with attention to details and considering all guests needs, and add to that the view and location near Tauranga bay & Cape Foulwind walkway which is magical! The breakfast also was great, tasty and of a high quality. Already thinking about returning back, as one night wasn’t enough!
Just a fabulous location, first class accommodation, wonderful attentive hosts. Quiet,off the beaten track. We'll worth the extra dollars. Definitely not the run of the mill.Rooms: 5/5
Simply brilliant. Stayed 2 nights at The Bay House with friends and enjoyed every moment. The hosts Sandra and Doc were the most accommodating and friendly people you could meet. Obviously been through some tough times lately but were always positive. If there are any weather events on the west coast and you have booked accommodation at The Bay House ALWAYS check with Sandra and Doc to see if access has been affected before cancelling because 9 times out of 10 they haven’t been affected at all.
Absolutely my favourite place to stay on our holiday. Such friendly hosts who have considered every detail to make their guests comfortable. Awesome views, peace, privacy, the most comfortable bed, spotlessly clean, fabulous breakfast, a delicious evening meal provided with very little notice. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. And all in the most beautiful, wild bay with seals, penguins and surfers. Paradise. Can't wait to stay again. Thank you.

Beautiful meal and views. All four meals provided to our group were excellent. Our friends who took us there said they have been often and have always enjoyed excellent meals.
Where to start. Great location, easy going atmosphere. Front of house are attentive, thoughtful yet not overbearing. Menu is well balanced and diverse. Coffee on point. Best seafood chowder I've ever had. If you skip the Bayhouse then you're just playing yourself.
The Bay House Restaurant serves us a beautiful dinner on the shores of the wild, turbulent Tasman Sea. The staff are ok, good service. We walked over the rocks to discover the flora and fauna of the area. Always changing landscape!Parking available close to the restaurant.Rooms: 4/5
