Had a really nice lunch here on a beautiful sunny day. It's a busy spot but the staff did a good job of fitting us in, as we didn't book but I get the feeling we were lucky and you should book. Our food was pretty good, some of the ingredients in a couple dishes were quite bizarre king fish and salmon I'm looking at you but not bad! Service was great, drinks and meals came out fairly promptly, and overall we had a great time!
Went for a post Gym coffee. Waitress delivered it with half of it spilt out of the cup onto the saucer, and no apology for that and no greetings to us, and we received rude service from the waitress who took our order, labeling our table as "hippies" on the order docket, and our coffees took forever for our order to arrive. Previously been here for dinner, it was delicious but over priced, the service then was good by a diligent and kind Latino waitress. The place itself has a great location but the bizarre layout of the seating means your blocked from sitting outdoors and having a good view of the wharf. Would be great to see more veggie/ Vegan options on the menus.
Fab views but the service is oor. Not busy but waited 20 mins for a cup of coffee that had been spilled in the saucer. You order at the bar and the till wants you to add service before you've received any. The views are great but dont offset the irritation of the service.Service: 1/5
Lovely place for a meal beside the river mouth with amazing views... very friendly and professional staff and service. The tuna was delicious! They have their very own apple cider too.
Nice ambience in a beautiful setting by the waterfront . Waiters were attentive and food was presented well and tasty. Good selection of local beers/ciders/wine .
Mapua itself is a nice little spot to visit. Some interesting art shops and other cafes. The Apple Shed food is outstanding. Service was great. And such a nice spot anytime of the day or night. Blankets and heaters for the colder evenings for outside seating. Right on the estuary lovely view.
We went for afternoon nibbles and drinks. Did not disappoint. The location is beautiful, amazing views and was fairly quiet post-lunch. Dog friendly and staff were so lovely and friendly. We had the carpaccio and the crudo along with some nice local wines, all amazing and delicious. Food was exceptionally. Would definitely go back and recommend to anyone!
Booking was pretty easy and the staff were friendly. When we had dinner at this place, it was a Tuesday evening and it took us forever for our food to be served. There were 5 of us. There were only 3 tables of 4-6 people dining but the kitchen was slow with the food service. Another thing to consider is visiting this place when you can still see the wharf as I reckon that this is the selling point of this place. Food was average, serving is in small portions but prices are $$. I love that their toilets are clean and smelling fresh!! Wine list was also average. Ambience is 5-star but the speed of service was a let-down
Travelling through Mapua, we arrived at the warf without reservations. The staff at Apple Shed helped us immediately with friendly and professional service. We appreciated them making recommendations on food and drinks. Thank you for making us feel welcome and excellent service. Food absolutely devine! Can definitely recommend and will be back soon...
Absolutely fabulous! Delicious food, great location, lovely ambience and wait staff ... only reason for a 4 and not a 5 is that dessert and coffee was a little slow in arriving ... otherwise highly recommended! Thanks for a memorable experience! Dietary restrictions: GF
