Thank you so much to all the lovely people who looked after me so well during my recent surgery and recovery Day Stay Unit, Level 3. Everyone was so professional, kind and chatty and made me feel very safe and comfortable. I can't speak highly enough of the wonderful care I received, and it was that much more remarkable given the difficult conditions our medical people work under. So grateful.
A RAiNBOW WITHOUT A POT OF GOLDnnOn 2/6/2024, I took my husband to A&E at Thames Hospital as his asthma was getting quite chesty despite taking his medicine.nnWe arrived at 4:30pm and it was not until 7:30pm that my husband was seen by a doctor. Dr. Lisa, an American lady who is a New Zealand registered and certified to practice, came and saw my husband and it turned out the wait of three hours was well worth it with the pot of gold delivered, so to speak. She was exemplary in the way of rendering her medical advice as she was able to put it across in a practical sense. My husband has written a letter of commendation to the highest authority within Health New Zealand and that of course will take its course.nnYes, there is a long wait at this hospital at the A&E Department and that is true. However, doctors like Lisa is able to balance things out in a proper way.nnADVICE: Go there if you are willing to suffer the extensive waiting time. But if not, try another hospital.
I really appreciate the nurses, staff, especially Dr. Ravi. He has been very helpful, no matter how busy the hospital was. He has seen my daughters a few times when I had to got to A&E & he has helped with care despite the number of patients he had to see. He even gave a follow-up phone call to check on my daughter after a potential injury. Thank you all doctors and staff for all your hard work
My grandmother DIED of sepsis due to the lack of care and neglect when she was in the pediatric ward. Her wound got worse as the nurses didn't do their job correctly and just left her skin to rot. She could still be alive had Thames Hospital cared for her as she should have been cared for. My family has received 2 apologies already from Thames hospital but that doesn't take away the pain my grandmother endured in her last month of life or the fact her life is over sooner than it should be.nTHIS IS MY THIRD BAD EXPERIENCE WITH THAMES HOSPITAL. BOYCOTT!!!
I had day stay surgery in June, the team at Thames Hospital were brilliant.nFrom reception through to the surgical team, what an amazing group.nI have been involved with health care for many years and your empathy and attitude to patient care was exemplary.nYou deserve this recognition.
