The furnishings are simple and rather dated. Food and drinks are ordered at the counter. I have never eaten such strange and bad ramen. Extremely greasy and far too salty. The dumplings were okay.Food: 3/5
The soup for Tomyam ramen is really nice, suits asian tastes. The ramen noodles taste like homemade noodles, must try! We ordered the salmon fried rice, tonkotsu ramen and tomyam soup with rice, all are quite nice and the portion is quite ok although it is a bit pricy. The queue was crazy so rmb to get there as early as you can.Food: 5/5
Still giving overall 5 stars cos the staff was nice. The only reason it’s a 4 star on food was cos the food was rather salty. Portions are great. Asahi beer was yummy.Food: 4/5
Nothing beats a steaming hot ramen on a cold winter day and this ramen hit the spot. It was everything you need, sparingly noodles and a broth that just tastes delicious with a generous helping of tasty pork and topped with a boiled egg.Food: 4/5
Good atmosphere and super service at this very popular restaurant in Tekapo. Friendly staff ensure the food comes to you quickly after you order at the counter. We tried various dishes and, overall, the food was tasty and good, with the ramen broth very nicely seasoned. I wanted to try the Spicy Fried Chicken ramen, which was good but I don't think the fried chicken worked well with ramen soup. The other eaters really enjoyed their pork based ramen dishes. Sharing plates - gyoza were excellent, okonomiyaki very tasty but chicken satay not so great needed more peanut. Overall, a great restaurant to visit and enjoy good food after exploring the sites of region.
What a place!!! Delicious ramen, beautiful place with authentic atmosphere and incredibly kind service. Shout out to a place like this, it’s a gem you get to if you’re lucky one.Food: 5/5
Order some ramens and laksa noodles. The dishes average are a little too sweet. The noodles are ok as well.Food: 3/5
Very good prices and excellent food!! We were lucky and did not need to wait long for a table - the restaurant provides water. You will to order at the counter and food gets served fairly quickly - we had pork gyoza, fried rice with pork and Tom gha chicken, which were all wonderful on a chilly evening we came in early spring - end september. On our way out, we saw several tables with ramen bowls that were half eaten, so our guess is that their Thai food which we ate were superior to their Japanese ramen. Vegetarian options: Vegan options are.plenty with gluten free options as well Parking: Lots of parking near lake tekapo
We had the spicy miso fried chicken ramen, chashu shoyu ramen and fried gyoza. Shoyu ramen was too salty but the other two dishes were good.Food: 4/5
Acceptable waiting time ~30m during the peak hour 6-7pm. We ordered Spicy Miso Ramen, Gyoza, takoyagi, Chashu Ramen and Red Curry w rice. Chashu ramen was definitely the best dish. If i ever come back to this restaurant, definitely will order the Chashu Ramen again! Perfectly made ramen soup with the sesame aroma. The boiled pork melted in your mouth and it's one of the best feeling in your mouth. The texture of the meat was exceptional. Gyoza has the Japanese authenticity and sure it us one of the must tried! Unfortunately the red curry was too sweet we are thai for us and it needs a lot of improvement. Unless, this dish can sell to the non-thai customer. I am not recommending it at all. The restaurant has a Japanese style deco and it suits the store.
