This is my first time getting takeaway from here. I used to visit the previous Thai place. We ordered the fried rice, sweet n sour pork, mixed entrées and stir fry garlic and pepper chicken. The flavours and taste are amazing. I wish I had ordered a bit more spicy fried rice. The curry puffs were superb. Everything was fantastic and the presentation was great as well. Will definitely be back.
A hidden gem in a suburb . Both the meal and the service were outstanding. This is where you should go if you're looking for authentic Thai food in Auckland. Booking in advance is advised because it's frequently very busy.Food: 5/5
On Friday, we booked a table on 6.30pm but we arrived 7.30pm , they still keep our table and so nice to us but we also call and notice to them that we will be late, staff was so friendly+ the owner was really kind, for all the food were so delicious and testy. I would recommend everybody to come to Makiin Tha Food: 5/5

This is my to go place when I’m looking for authentic Thai taste. The most favourite menus are their seasonal & chef special dish of the day. Highly recommended place!
We ordered squid tentacles, Hell beef fried rice and Chicken fried rice , also Thai cold coffee. And it was out of the world, every item were so delicious, and full of flavors. Absolutely scrumptious, we are very happy that the location of your restaurant is just 3 min walking distance from our place, we will be back again for sure.
Go here at least once a week, sometimes more. The first time I went I ordered Pad See Ew and was immediately transported back to Thailand. The flavour, ingredients and balance were perfect. That dish remains my favourite but I’ve never had a bad meal there and have tried a variety of others. Duck Curry deserves a big mention too. Owners are always welcoming, fun and attentive, service is quick. It’s not a big place, just a few tables, but take out is always an easy option. I think it’s about as close to Thailand as you can get in NZ.
This small Thai Takeaway restaurant is one of the very best we have ever tried. We return again and again, because every meal is truly authentic as Thai food in Thailand. The food and service here, come from dedicated owners, who obviously put their love into their creations. To quote the Prophet Kahlil Gibran, their "work is Love made visible". We highly recommend this unique Thai eatery, now one of Auckland's gems.
First time customer. The food was excellent, so delicious. I recommend the Tom Yum soup with chicken, the Yellow Curry, Thai fried Rice, Curry Puffs. My order was waiting for me, so the transaction was quick and easy. The team were polite and friendly. For people missing Sento on Donovan Street, Makiin Thai should be your new go to Thai takeaway. You won't be disappointed.
Brilliant little spot!! I was tempted by the 5 star reviews, and i can honestly say, i was definitely impressed! The tom yum starter was one of the best ive ever tried - also had the papaya salad and honey and pineapple duck, both were very, very good....Excellent work guys!! As their name states - everything is most certainly “made with love“!!
