The best barbecue you'll taste. Succulent, tasty meat, melt in the mouth brisket and all with the perfect hint of smoke. The buns, chips and coleslaw are also excellent. Great value and friendly service too.
Sorry to say but this will honestly be the last time we order from Texas Pete. As per screenshot below, we arrived at 6:03. No one else was there at when we entered and ordered a meat tray with burger and fries to take away and enjoy at home. I asked how long it would take, cashier said 15 minutes. Then 5 parties arrived after we ordered ranging from 2 - 6 people. We patiently waited and watched as all other parties had their food arrive to their tables. Someone even requested their burger to be remade after sending it back and got their remade burger before ours was ready. We'd finally received our order after nearly an hours' wait. Although everything we ordered was in our bag. The food was cold. We also discovered the meat patty in the single smash was well under cooked and could not be eaten. We weren't willing to drive back and have to wait longer. Sorry Texas Pete's. What was once enjoyable before can no longer be again. Not sure how that can be remedied. Maybe time management can be improved?
3 hr drive to get here & the meal absolutely did not disappoint! Tacos, brisket & pork belly were even better than anything we have tried in the US. And all topped off with great service!! We will definitely be back.
Hands down best BBQ feed in NZ!!! Guys in the food truck kill it every time. I reckon great price for a mean quality feed that leaves you feeling full as a bull! Will definitely be visiting again. 10/10 recommend
You pull up to this nice joint in a really nice and developing neighborhood, the atmosphere is gorgeous, the decorations on the wall invoke a feel of comfort and is as tasteful as the food. The service is spectacular, you'll speak to staff which is both efficient and helpful in deciding the options, they will suggest some food and you'd be a fool not to go with it because you might find something new you'll like. The food tastes good but whoever provides their pork for crispy pork belly needs a bit of work because the meat of the pork is quite dry and a couple pieces of them may not always have the fat to juice it up a bit. Overall its a wonderful place to eat and is a big lure for people wanting to live in Rototuna from discussions ive had with other patrons I did spend a lot but you can get quality food for as low as 36 dollars which when considering the high quality of food is a bargain.
