Nice place, and tasty food. Extremely well priced for this experience.Food: 4/5
Went last night for my birthday. Food was too salty and rushed. I have never had teppenyaki where I felt so rushed to clear some of the plate for the next dish. Neither my sister or I could remember eating the chicken dish. It wasnt conducive to flow of conversation and it wasn’t busy. Couldn’t understand what was asked of us at the end before he wrote thank you in salt. Tried to book in the morning but message stated to ring after 4pm.
Always the most amazing experience. We love our visits here. The food, staff and vibe are Dietary restrictions: I am coeliac and the chef made sure that my food was cooked first on the grill and to double check ingredients with me. I was really impressed :
Haven't been to Teppanyaki Takao for many years. The food was perfectly cooked and delicious. Great to see the standard hasn't dropped since last going there!Food: 5/5
Kaiapoi's hidden gem. Amazing food, cooked extremely well, great price with a show at the same time. If there's any food better in Kaiapoi than the creamy prawns then I don't know what it is. Get the orion beer. 11 out of 10. Dietary restrictions: They are well versed in looking after my coeliac partner
This is a second time I try a Teppanyaki in NZ... The place has a good view on the second floor and is compact with small space. The staff are friendly and with good manners the English is a bit basic which can lead to some uncertainty but nothing major. My advice is to let the chef know that you prefer to leave it up to you to handle the salt from your table as sometimes the food can be on the salty side especially having the soya sauce added as a garnish to the food. In general it's still a good place to enjoy in Kaiapoi and there's room for improvement.
Amazing. Wonderful service and very tasty foodFood: 5/5
Went with a group of 8 for end of year meal. We all had a great time awesome food and friendly service, some of our group hadn't been to teppanyaki before so great new experience Dietary restrictions: 1 of our group is gluten free, so they cooked her meal on a separate hot plate Parking: Parking right outside by countdown car park
Teppanyaki Takao is outstanding. Parking is plentiful. The staff are super friendly and fun. The booking I made was for 8 people and we sat around the teppanyaki bar with ease. Its a very social way to dine and lots of fun. The menu offers a variety of set menu options. They are extremely well priced. Our chef was cool. He catered to our different preferences and kept the food coming. The salmon and seafood were my favourite but also the chicken and beef were great. The bar is well stocked. The warm saki was great and the 3xvariety of cold saki was excellent. Im definitely returning here because we werecso well looked after and so our dinner party was a huge success.
Good food, great service and such a nice vibe. Local family feel : This was our first visit, will definitely be back again!Food: 4/5
