What fabulous hosts and accommodation. We arrived extremely wet and cold at Teichelmanns B&B after a long day on the trail in testing weather conditions and Frances was our fairy godmother drying all our gear whilst we had hot showers and warmed up. Gorgeous warm rooms and breakfast and packed lunch were both superb. Highly recommend and wish them both all the very best for their future, your kindness was sooo appreciated, many thanks, Anne & Bruce

After a recommendation from Cycle Journeys I stayed at Teichelmann's B&B while riding the West Coast Wilderness Trail with them. Stayed with CJ mid-tour and made my own booking for nights before & after. It is a lovely heritage home, former doctors residence, in the middle of Hokitika on a quiet street near the river. This means everything is within walking distance, including the CJ depot, there is on-street parking outside, and a great café/restaurant next door. Had a lovely room with ensuite bathroom as all are and started the day with a home-made continental or cooked breakfast in the dining room. Frances & Brian are wonderful hosts and were very accommodating. The heritage house and Dr Teichelmann's history add a further unique dimension to a lovely place to stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Frances and Brian. They made us feel like we were in our own home. The breakfasts done by Frances were beyond superb and definitely one of the best B&B in NZ and even internationally.

We have had an amazing experience there. The room was ultra cozy and comfortable, very very nicely decorated and we slept very well. The hosts are absolutely lovely as well, full of tips and stories. Last but not least, the breakfast is superb, cooked to the perfection, homemade granola, roasted tomatoes, crispy bacon. Amazing. Definitely recommend

Amazing. One of the best B&Bs we have ever stayed at. Eggs Benedict was perfect. Homemade sweet plums and muffins were incredible. Hosts are very knowledgable of history and area.
After 3 weeks in NZ for our honeymoon, Teichelmann's B&B was top on our list. Our stay in the Garden Cottage was perfect. The private space and deck were so relaxing. Frances and Brian were wonderful hosts - be sure to heed their recommendations! Breakfast was so tasty and Frances's cookies are amazing. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!
