Story

Te Totara Primary School opened in February 2008 with 58 students. It is built to cater for 650 students and as at May 2014 we have 721 students enrolled. The facilities are modern and learner focussed.

Staff use both Apple and PC computers and we have wireless network around the school.

The principal's role is to check smiles and make sure everyone has one.

I LOVED this school, it taught me how to interact with others and learn English, I met very KIND and CARING teachers and students there, it was very sad to leave that beautiful school and country to another, but I still have every yearbook from year 1 to year 6, I would recommend for your children to go there!
Had a very great experience, I visited the school another day for filling up out of zone application request for my child. The receptionist was very welcoming. The surrounding was tidy. Wish my child could attend this school.
Almost 2 years have passed now that I have left tetotara stars and left Hamilton. Words can honestly not explain how much I miss this school or Hamilton itself, I really miss this school because 1, of the playgrounds. The playgrounds have made so much memories for me, especially when I sprained my wrist. 2, some of the teachers are pretty funny, kind and strict for reasonable situations. I’m not gonna name them because I am too lazy. And since I am too lazy to write the rest all I’m gonna say is I still have my tetotara key chain that you get at the end of year 6 . And 1 more thing, please don’t have the rule where you go to the toilet at break times and you barely can during the blocks.
My son loves this school. Teachers are great, library is amazing. The school learning culture is inspiring.
Te totara is just a brilliant school
when I went here my teacher tipped out my tea from my water bottle because you were only allowed water. It was water just flavored.
As an old student il say this is a pretty good school for years 5-6 because in the early years stuff gets stollen and you can get bullied for being your self.
Amazing school!! Great teachers , fabulous place kids learn and develop.
Amazing school, my boy loves going to the school.
