I was appalled by the racism I witnessed at this center. The staff was rude and dismissive to people of color, and I felt extremely uncomfortable. I will never be returning, and I urge others to stay away from this place!!!! There was no privacy and they were following us during the event as if we were criminals!!. It was an extremely unpleasant experience and I would not recommend this center to anyone.nnThey were urging us to finish early before our pack up time, we were being watched, harassed, disrespected and making our guests feel uncomfortable. It was a very unpleasant experience that could have been avoided had the center been more considerate of people of all backgrounds. Extremely poor management!
We had the worst experience here!!! we faced racism where they showed no respect for our event and guests. We were harassed continuously through out the night. They followed us during the event telling us to clear up before our pack up time, giving us no privacy. We hired more rooms for our event but we were rejected those hired areas on the night. Unprofessional, resist and poor management by the manager and the team. They truly know how to ruine your big night, would never recommend this trashy place to anyone!!!!!
I recently visited the Te Puru Community Centre and was extremely disappointed by my experience. The facility was extremely outdated, and the staff were extremely disrespectful & racist. The manager was rude and racist who hassled us the whole night ruining our night. We were also charged an exorbitant amount for the rental and cleaning of the space. I would not recommend this facility to anyone. The manager and staff continuously looked over our shoulder and embarrassed us in front of our guests telling us we need to leave at 11pm SHARP. Will never go there again!
Attended the tiny house conference here. The indoor hall was spacious with modern toilets and good acoustics. An upstairs reception looks out over the sports fields. Side rooms are good for catering or as small meeting rooms. There wasn't a huge amount of parking, but then some of it was taken up by the large trailers, tiny homes and buses.nNice setting in the country. Good roads leading in.
