Te Puna Rangatahi o Waingongoro ":meaning" The Essence of Youth of the River that flows through Eltham & Ngaruahine Rangi called Waingongoro. We are a Community Kapahaka Roopu based at the Eltham Maori Club Hall & is open to all tamariki & whanau of all cultures in our wider community. We cater for all school aged tamariki 13years and under. The purpose of our roopu is to give tamariki & youth experiences that they may not get & to provide them with positive opportunities that they may not be able to do at home or school. We do a rang of activities, ranging from learning Maori Tikanga (powhiri, kapahaka etc) to outings, trips and community events. Every year we get together around the Month of June-July & our aim is to go to the Taranaki Puanga Festival that is held in October. We do many fundraisers to reach our goals for our tamariki and always needing extra hands on deck to make this happen!!!!
