If I could give a zero I would, I came in countless times begging for my newborn to be looked over as she was gasping for breath, crying all the time, signs of allergies etc etc and was told she had “purple crying”. I say in the waiting room hysterically crying because the hospital had been useless also but I needed a paediatrician referral. I was told I wasn’t going to get one.. months later after seeing a private specialist, and sick of begging, we worked out later on that she did in fact have allergies as well as severe reflux, tongue, lip and cheek ties. A couple months after, I had to go back to see the doctor for myself, informing her on what was actually wrong with my daughter and got laughed in my face. My daughter is now 1 and a half and still having ongoing troubles, we moved to Auckland and have found an amazing gp.nI am still traumatised to this day
Chris mcknight is a lovely doctor, and has a very pleasant manner and does not treat u like a second class citizen like katikati doctors did . so many have left there too..nId recommend him highly and felt welcome and comfatable in his presence .nHe thinks outside the sqaure .
I attended the practice to register and was unfortunately told this clinic does not take patients from outside their area I am only ~10mins away. So if you want to register, probably give them a call first to check. Having this visible to patients on your website would be a good idea too. :
Te Puna doctors are by far the best clinic, my husband and I have ever been too. So much so that we travel all the way from Papamoa to go there. Our doctors, the nurses and reception staff are really professional, caring and most of all friendly. Nothing seems to be a problem. Their service is outstanding!!
