Te Pu o Te Wheke Arts is a collective of local artists passionate about bringing colour to our town and community.
After working as a volunteer at the Wairua of Kaikohe exhibition renowned local artist Sash was inspired to open an art gallery space in kaikohe, she realised that there was a need for the community to have a space that supports local artists to show their work and create a community place for the arts. From this inspiration Te Pu o Te Wheke Arts was born.
This is an open gallery space run as a co op of artists who make a small weekly contribution to hang works for sale. Te Pu o Te Wheke Arts is community focused, come in and share your ideas and inspiration and lets support each other to make it happen.
