Terrible would definitely give it a miss. So much more to enjoy in the area. It was not the friendliest of welcomes, very condescending, whole experience was rushed. I gave you a one star review, because that's what you deserved from our experience.
A thoroughly enjoyable wine-tasting with the very pleasant lady on duty explaining the process surrounding each wine. Most interesting and lovely wines esp: the Te Mania Riesling and the Richmond Plains Pinot Gris. Took some home and half of them have already given us drinking pleasure. Nice to see the organic options that are available. Keep up the good work.
Great wine and friendly host. Not all vineyards are huge corporations and this boutique winery is definitely worth it it being they closed early or opened late! If you’re after a great wine experience but don’t require a swanky view or flash cafe Te Mania is unmissable.
This is one of my absolute favorite tasting rooms in the area because you can try two wineries and the staff is really friendly and engaging. It is a small winery and you can tell that the staff puts a lot of love into what they do! They have a good deal where you are refunded the cost of your wine samples if you buy a bottle of wine, and it's hard to walk out without buying at least one bottle of their delicious wine!
Very kind passionated and experienced stuffs. You can talk about wines while day of you want, because they love wine so much. Good to visit small winery because you can see how much love they are putting in their wines. That point you cannot feel at big commercial wine maker. Highly recommended.
A small family winery with friendly tasting room staff. I particularly enjoyed their rose and Pinot Noir wines. Although they were busy with a tour group, they made every effort to accommodate other visitors and allowed to you relax and enjoy their wines without hovering over you like some other tasting rooms do. A great opportunity to see their vineyards as well. The staff were knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Highly recommended.
A very big thanks to Ange and the Team at Te Mania for going above and beyond to help us help some very dear, long time Kiwi friends in the Motueka area celebrate Waitangi Day! I called the winery near closing earlier this week from Toronto, Canada and Ange helped me over the phone. Together we created an amazing gift basket of wines, treats from the winery and then Ange went the extra mile literally to a local shop to add goodies to make our basket even more special! Then, last but not least, Ange made the transport arrangements for us to get the basket to our friends! Truly wonderful customer service and very much appreciated! Someday when the world gets right again, we will go back to NZ and will be sure to drop by say "Thank you" in person and have a chance to enjoy your wines! Until then we hope you enjoy a safe, healthy, busy summer at the winery!
Now at home, sitting in front of the log fire and enjoying a glass of your delicious 3 Brothers. We really had a lovely tasting experience last Sunday. Thank you for being open, thank you for the great service and thank you for the good wines. We will definitively be back.
The staff is knowledgable, helpful, and fun. It was such a pleasure chatting with Angela, who is full of spirit and passion for the wine. Such a lovely experience at an intimate, family run winery. Absolutely worth a visit!
Often closed for private tasting and have rude staff. If you do go, phone ahead.
