Te Hā o Hine-ahu-one - Palmerston North Women’s Health Collective is a low cost/free health and information service in the Manawatu.

Story

We offer a friendly and confidential women's health information service based in Palmerston North. We provide women's health resources, support, referral assistance and advocacy. We are open for you to drop in on weekdays between 9am and 5pm. Cervical screening, counselling and natural health practitioners are available on request and by appointment.

We provide free or by donation:

- Urine pregnancy tests
- Condoms and lube
- Cervical smear tests (limited access)
- Files on local doctors, specialists, midwives, dentists, counsellors and alternative therapy
- A women's health lending library
- Speakers on women's health ...

We provide access to visiting health practitioners at a reduced cost including for:

- Counselling
- Massage
- Naturopathy
- Osteopathy
- Reflexology

We can give information about the following:

- The way a women's body works
- Your rights when using health services
- Natural and self-help remedies
- Pregnancy and childbirth
- Abortion
- Contraception
