A welcoming little beachfront camp nestled amongst well-planted grounds at the mouth of the Maraetotara River. The attractive grounds and facilities are sheltered and offer direct access to the beach and river's edge.

Overall a great experience, the owner fit us in without a booking. Pros-4 Kitchen sinks, free hot water showers, two blocks of toilets and showers, onsite cafe, owner was lovely, close to beach and very reasonable priced. $20 for unpowered site- 2 people. It was quiet where we were parked, near the office and more party like near the beach. Cons- The bathrooms were cleaned from 8.30am to 9.30am which didn't make sense to us as that is when people use them the most. A small con and more of a laugh was the height of the mirror in the ladies bathroom, I am 5ft, I could only see 1 inch of the top of my head. It gave me a little giggle.
Friendly staff including an espresso coffee caravan onsiight! Typical kiwi holiday camp, reasonably priced, unfortunately no rate for single camper, pay the same as for 2. Located out of town, but right on the shore's edge.
Older camp but lovely & clean with very helpful people… our campervan had mechanical issues & owner & resident helped us out. Right on beach which was popular for surfing & fishing

This was a great totally awesome place. We had a nightmare at the top 10 Napier with Jenny. Then had our faith restored by the welcoming friendly camp manager. We had a great beach front tent site. Wonderful facilities thanks for being there and being so nice
Hidden gem and best holiday park we've been to. Beautiful beach location, lovely gardens, and very friendly people. Surf was great, too. The coffee shop "the vanilla bean" is on site and makes great coffee and ice cream.
As a born & bred local having spent many a time growing up around this camp & the area I only have great things to say about it. Around near the toilets it’s nice to see the work been done there this year opening it back up again with nice new plantings & ability to see a good part of the camp again. Great family holiday park & area to relax & enjoy the sun sea & surf etc.
