Te Aroha Playcentre is part of the Playcentre Association and believes in bringing quality education to both children and parents.
Te Aroha Playcentre is completely free for parents and their children to attend. We believe in making playcentre accessible for all. Playcentre also believes that the whanau/family is the fundamental unit in the community and is to be valued, promoted and supported as the most important setting for the nurture and education of children We also run a free adult parent education program.
Playcentre is an internationally recognised Early Childhood organisation unique to New Zealand. The real strength of playcentre is that it acknowledges and supports parents as the first and most important educators of their children. Playcentre is unique within early childhood in that they are co-operatively managed and supervised by parents with support from experienced Association personnel. Playcentre families receive a unique early childhood experience with opportunities for children, parents and whanau to learn together
We are open Tuesday and Thursday 9.00 am to 11.30/12pm, on the corner of Massey and Terminus Street.
