Awesome library and amazing architecture and outside attractions. It's a really good place for the community in Rolleston, providing a space for learning and several interesting activities for the kids and adults. Wonderful space of knowledge. Library staff is amazing! You could book the meeting rooms here at a nominal fee. There are some really interesting events happening here for kids and grownups. It makes the place very lively.
On March 1, 2026 Sunday, between 10 and 10:20 a.m., on the second floor of the library, your employee, a tattooed woman with long black hair and glasses, named Ashleigh, began scolding my child in front of me. Who is she to come up and scold my child? What kind of behavior is this from your employees? If she had questions, she could have politely approached me and explained everything she wanted the child was near me, instead of scolding my child. And then she began expressing her complaints to me in a very disrespectful manner. I was shocked by this behavior!! Who is she, and what kind of behavior do your employees have?If your staff has questions, they should address them with parents, not small children, and certainly not scold small, defenseless children who can't even answer her. This is rude and unprofessional. It was as if I had come to her home. On the second floor, my child ran around the soft ottomans several times without screaming, and there was no one else on the floor, so my little child couldn't have bothered anyone! This happened near the stairs, on the left side. There was no one else on the floor except us, specifically near us and in the immediate area of the second floor. I ask management to take appropriate measures and communicate with library patrons in a polite and respectful manner.If you have internal rules, you can approach me and explain them respectfully. I will deal with my child myself.nI request that senior Library management take appropriate action against your employee, Ashleigh. Explain to your employee that such behavior is unacceptable. If you have any complaints, she should approach the parent and explain your thoughts to them. Approaching other people's children and disciplining them is unacceptable! We hope that such inappropriate behavior from your employees will not be repeated. Thank you.
Wonderful and cozy environment to study while having my hot flat white nLibrary staff here was very friendly and helpful, she assisted me very well to find another alternative to get the hard-to-get book. Suitable to bring your kids too. A lot of books and activity for kids, youth and adult. Nearby skateboard and playground area for active kids. Recommended!
Contemporary library building with lots of quite areas to read and work.nGlad that they incorporated the Maori elements as well as Rolleston history in their design.nI absolutely love this place!
Good library, with a children's area downstairs, a ps5 for those rainy days, computers for studying, private glass rooms for extra silence, a Cafe, and an outside playground.
