Want a leisurely stroll.nnA popular place with many people using the gorgeous weather to get outside for some exercise.nnThe short trail basically goes around the grounds behind the art gallery and bowling green. Takes approximately 20mins at a leisurely stroll pace.nnA slightly longer trail is along beside the estuary for awhile then back up a path, coming out nearby to the council buildings. Watch for the trail on your right once past the love seat. It's not sign posted and is easy to miss. Approx. 40minsnnBut for the more adventurous of you, the 7.58km trail goes right around the whole estuary, circling backout to state highway one. At a leisurely stroll it's approx. 1.5 -2 hrs.nnAll trails are wide concrete paths, easy walking and safe.

We walked the full loop on a sunny day with close friends, and it was nothing short of amazing. nnThe track is well-maintained, mostly flat, and suitable for all fitness levels – whether you’re walking, jogging, or cycling. Along the way, you’ll enjoy a variety of scenic views including lush greenery, peaceful estuary waters, and charming boardwalks.nnThere are plenty of rest spots, informative signs about the local ecosystem, and even a few playgrounds and picnic areas. Great for families, couples, or solo adventurers looking to unwind.nnSpending time here felt rejuvenating, and doing it with good company made it even more special. Great little ride around the estuary. Be careful with other cyclists and people with dogs. Some cyclists ride way too fast. Use your bell on corners to ensure your safety. Take a coffee stop at Millies in Millwater for fantastic coffee and food.
A local favourite. An easy walking and cycling route for excises or relaxation. Great estuary view all the way.
I wish there were high-quality pathways like this in the U.K. At the beginning and end, there are enjoyable scenic views taking you around an estuary on smooth concrete paths and wooden bridges. The middle section takes you onto main roads servicing residential housing estates and some on pathways on busy main roadssmsll the diesel from the traffic. Can be quite busy in summer at weekends. It can be quite confusing to complete the 8k loop because signs are quite poor in giving you directions.
