We are located ‘across the road’ from central Te Anau, we’re a great base for exploring Fiordland and Milford Sound. Our park-like location offers a spacious quiet Te Anau home away from home for you and your family.

In our holiday park we have ensured the environment is safe for kids to play and enjoy themselves, without parents having to worry. With kids games and activities in place we are bringing back the old style of a family camping holiday. Great accommodation with plenty of facilities. Stayed in the backpacker accommodation for two nights and it was exactly what we needed as a base for a day trip out to Milford Sound. Room wasn't crowded and beds were comfortable. The communal lounge area was spacious and perfect to relax in. Bathroom and shower facilities were clean and plentiful for such a large park. Easy walk into town and to the lake and an amazing view from the park itself. Will definitely recommend for anyone looking to visit Te Anau or needing a stop on the way to/from Milford Sound.
We stayed in the cabins, really comfy beds with nice sheets. The facilities were good in the communal kitchen, bathrooms, laundry and the spa was a great thing to book after a day on the bikes. The knives were too blunt in the kitchen so would recommend bringing your own or a sharpener. Would stay here again.
Stayed at the dorm and it was amazing. The room is spacious, beds comfy and without the usual creeking when you move that you get in other hostels, and there is a heater in the room as well. Everything is clean sheets, room, communal areas, bathrooms. And staff is very nice. Loved the kitchen and lounge space - as mentioned before it gives off a chalet vibe and is spacious and clean. You need your own equipment for cooking kitchen has stoves, ovens, microwave, toasters, hot water machine, fridge and freezer, or you can borrow a cooking set for 2 for 5$ haven't tried that, so can't say what you get. Reception is open till 9pm, which is very convenient should you come later.
Accommodating staff with our request for 3 sites close together. Good playground and bounce pad. Laundromat came in handy with a basket to use and bring back once finished. Family room with shower and toilet made showering a wee one 10x easier! Especially with showers being so busy at times. Large communal kitchen, dining and lounge areas all kid friendly!
Despite suffering from a lack of staff like the rest of the world, this Top 10 was the best we stayed at on our trip. It is in the heart of The Anau and an easy walk to the lake or into the town centre. We had great service when we checked in, including advice about our trip the Molford Sound such as road conditions, what to take with us and offers of assist to book tours. The facilities were clean and there was reliable hot water in the showers. The laundry was great! We didn't use the kitchen on our trip. Of you have the time, the spa is brilliant! Private and warm. Take a few cans of drink and have a half our soak to get the chill our of your bones!
Small tent sites. Close to road. Toilets and showers good. Kitchen is nice with most equipment. Close to village with all there: restaurant, supermarket, nice shops, bakery. Good and friendly personell.
The site is well located. However the site owner Brat was very unfriendly and discriminated us as foreigners, after we questioned the prepayment for the extension of our stay. He even refused an extension after we accepted the prepayment. I have never before experienced such a behaviour and attitude in New Zealand. The lady at the reception is very friendly but sold us incl. Top10 discount 20% overpriced Milford Sound boat trip tickets. I would recommend the other options in Te Anau, which are cheaper and customer oriented.
Finally a campsite with proper WiFi we had to go all the way to Te Anau to get free unlimited at least for Top10 members WiFi that works properly Great facilities, plenty of space, sunset inclusive, close to the city. The sites are close to the street that’s one downside. The other one is the shower. Temperature is not constant and you can only set it to dripping or water cannon. There is nothing in between.
We had an amazing experience at this Top 10 location. We were unfortunately unable to check-in for the night we had made our reservation for…. because our campervan was stuck in a mud hole in a deserted gravel road in Te Anau downs for 17 hours…. We went to the Top 10 the next morning after the towing helped us out to ask if we could still use the facilities and carwash even if it was past 10 AM. I was really emotional because of the horrible night we had with several towings refusing to come help us out, the horrible phone charges on my canadian phone just to reach some assistance… The lovely lady at the reception offered us to stay for the upcoming night and just change our initial reservation date, came to see us while we were washing the van that was unfortunately muddy inside and out and bring us a bucket with hot water and soap and multiple rags… She also offered us a spa session free of charge on top of it… I am really moved by the empathy toward us during our stay, it gave us the opportunity to make a fresh start to our trip and calm ourselves a bit :-. As for the facilities, I absolutely loved the kitchen area, it was probably the most cosy and user-friendly we had, there is enough space for everyone and there is a certain chalet vibe to it ! Thanks again for everything, you guys are amazing :-
Disappointed with the response from the owner. Had to cancel our trip a week out from staying due to unforseen circumstances but still got charged for one night. Owner then agreed that if they resold the room then I would get my deposit back. A short while later I got confirmation that the room got rebooked and I would be returned the deposit after the weekend. Subsequently, it got canceled again and I was told I wasn't going to get my deposit back. So this place took two nights deposits for no one staying and probably still onsold the room as the owner mentioned they were full. Really disappointed with the attitude of the owner and will not book with them again.
