I visited Te Ahu in Kaitaia and it was an amazing experience. I learned so much about Northland’s history and culture. The museum was really impressive, and the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable — they made the visit even more meaningful.
Nice friendly place. Might go watch some movies on a rainy day soon
This is the best community centre I have ever been in. The library has a peaceful calm about it and many great books to browse. Ah, an enticing smell from the café! There are freshly made snacks and great coffee, too.nnMost important, all the staff are friendly and approachable - smiles are everywhere you look!nnAs well as the library, there are numerous more things that make Te Ahu great. An excellent cinema showing the latest movies, intriguing artwork in the atrium, an art space for local artists to display their work, souvenir and information centre, computers to use for free and also a museum.nnCome see for yourself and enjoy :
Pros: It's fantastic that somewhere as small as Kaitaia gets to have the latest movies on the big screen. The seats are comfy and although the screen is not huge, it's a classic old-style cinema.nnCons: Consistently across three visits, we found the majority of other patrons to be older patrons who seem blissfully unaware just how rude it is to chatter during a movie or to giggle at tense moments in a thriller.
Came here for my moko's muay thai fight he won to by the way lol sori yea finally kaitaia gta centre my tane frm kaitaia ain't been here in a while so first tyme at this centre big pl wat kaitaia needs xx heaps parking too
