Both my sons had a good experience here from 2017- 2020. 2024 the school cannot manage behaviour and deflects blame and has not much understanding for pre teens and change , teachers can be quiet intimidating until you go and face them to get the facts straight seems to be quiet a toxic/ negative school which is a shame if you are only zoned here , iv had to pull my daughter out to be in a more down to earth environment.
good burger king amazing service would go again I recommend anyone wanting to go to a burger king go to this one!
This school is a joke. Bullied by teachers & kids. They swept it under the carpet & took no responsibility on their part. Took my kid out after 5 months & placed her in a new school. She is now thriving academically & personally. Best decision I have ever done!
I’m not the type of person who would write a review as its time consuming, But I truly dislike Tauranga Intermediate. When I was there I was depressed as I was treated unfairly by the Teachers. School was sexist, giving better privileges to females. One mistake or immaturity from a student the whole class gets punished, for example when one boy in my class was making silly noises, they punished us by making us stay back and do laps just for one person's action. Teacher was so biased that they wouldn't even listen to the other students' point of view, jumping to conclusions. Overall this school was the worst, I’d dread waking up and going to Tauranga Intermediate.
One day the boys toilets for kahikatea were closed so the boys had to use the girls.... what happened in there when they got changed for p.e, makes me wonder? and why did the techers let it happen? other than that tis is a good school but 3/5
Eh won the spirit trophy 3 times so its alright I guess
I genuinely disliked my time at this school. Teachers didn't help much, and everyone will be punished for what one kid does. Relatively sexist in terms of girls getting significantly better treatment than boys.
This school has had major issues with bullying since I was there the '70's. It seems nothing has changed, as my children suffered the same experience. This is what happens when children from four main primary schools from vastly different socioeconomic demographics get thrown in together for two years with little discipline.
Claim to have a zero tolerance for bullying although these are all just words to make the marketing of the school seem somewhat attractive. Bullying issues are swept under the carpet and the victims left to deal with issues. Archaic staff members who should have retired years ago. The school is more reputation based as opposed to being student based. Too many students and a handful of teachers who couldn’t care less.
I was practing my ukulele at school when a student took it and tried to break it and threw it back at me when he couldn't break it and it hit me in the face I told my teacher she said you should just stop practicing and maybe it won't happen again. Just more proof the school should change.
