Excellent airport in the north island, self check in desks have been installed and staff ready to help. Great cafe with lots of variety, seating and dining areas and the air New Zealand lounge. Quick turnaround from deboarding to boarding.nSmooth and stress free experience.
We had a great time at Adventure Helicopters on their 30 minutes tour of the Tauranga area. Highly recommend the tour to get an overall view of the land of this area of New Zealand. Sam, our pilot, was fantastic and very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Highly recommend flying with him as your host and pilot.
A comfortable, easy airport to navigate.
Clean, small, very easy to navigate. It's in a busy area so leave time for traffic.
A family member checked in online for an Air NZ flight to save time. We arrived 2 minutes before 'in person' check-in closed to find a staff member had deleted her online check-in & she had to check-in again 'in person'. If we had arrived any later they would have refused to let her board despite it being their mistake & not hers.nWe had a light lunch at the Wayfarer Cafe. Food was okay but the quiche was very difficult to eat as the only cutlery available was made of cardboard & paper thin wood - bizarre. We were also concerned to see an Airport Volunteer clearing cafe tables. Shouldn't paid cafe employees be doing this?
