The location and facilities at this caravan park are good, but that's where the positives end. The powered site we were allocated was shockingly tiny and completely unsuitable for a caravan—frankly, it felt like a poorly planned afterthought. Despite booking 12 months in advance and clearly stating we required a site for a caravan and car, we arrived to find a cramped 6m x 5m space approximately 30m². To make matters worse, opening the caravan door to get in and out was an awkward challenge due to the lack of space.nnIt's worth noting that all the sites in this area of the park are similarly tiny. While they might be passable for small camper vans, they are wholly inadequate for caravans, especially given the premium pricing.nnInitially, we parked our car on the adjacent sloping grass area, but a staff member quickly intervened, threatening that our car would be towed if not parked directly on the site next to the caravan. This left no space to sit outside or use our shade awning. The only alternative offered was to park the car on the main road outside the camp—a solution that felt unreasonable and inconvenient, particularly when permanent sites nearby had ample space and vehicles parked on grass banks.nnAt $1,203 for a week on a powered site, this was far from good value for money. The lack of consideration for caravan users, the high cost, and the impracticality of the site were major disappointments. This is not a place I would recommend to fellow caravaners or be eager to return to.nnStay date: Jan '25
We stayed over Labour weekends in a garden villa. The villa was clean and comfortable. The camp ground is right on the beach with easy access to the beach. The camp ground has a great pool area, which is a heated pool. Overall great facilities for families and we have already planned to come back next year.

We stayed on Sunrise blvd in our camper and it was awesome! The amenities were great and clean, water pressure and temp perfect. The reception were SO LOVELY. Everything is located quite close even if you are on one of the more remote sites. Location is excellent. I usually opt to stay at a Tasman if I can over other holiday parks and this one is by far the best I've stayed at. Looks extremely kid friendly too with trampolines and a massive chess board.
Always have loved staying at Tasman Holiday Park Papamoa and will continue as the location is perfect and the facilities are normally well maintained, but we noticed this stay that the toilets, kitchen area’s were not cleaned at all during our stay. A toilet had been blocked for the two days, hair on floor, paper hand towel bin overflowing and no paper towels replaced. Not sure if it was just cause it was school holiday time. Such a beautiful park but just disappointed this time with the cleaning as wasn’t cheap to stay .
