Not many places in Foxton for dinner so thought we would get indian for a change. Terrible idea! Dirty rundown old gas station converted into a takeaway shop. Even though 75% of the menu is indian, they said they had absolutely none of the indian menu or breads available- leaving us only burger, fish and chips to choose from. Zero signage saying no indian anywhere so didnt know till 1/2 way through ordering. Id have gone to Mr. Grumpys or Delish takeaways if Id have known they only had what they did! Its not dine in despite saying it is. Just lots of frustrated people sat at the tables waiting on orders. We then waited over an hour for a really bad burger and chips. Beetroot in a satay burger which is odd, shoestring chips - small portion. Dont rate the garlic chips. All 3 burgers were not very nice.
Lamb Madras Indian Hot,Rice and Garlic Naan.Lamb Madras Med,Rice and Garlic Naan.I couldn't eat mine even with added yoghurt I had to get yoghurt from supermarket. My host ate it the next day.Then he tells me it's the same strength he had yesterday.This is third time his Indian Hot is over the top crazy hot. The rest of years has been perfect for him.This has done it for him Never Again!
It's not the flashest but the food is consistently good try any of the burgers with chicken!, reasonably priced and open long hours for a small town. Good spot to stop and fill your puku with tables inside and out and toilets that are always clean despite needing a makeover
i ordered a crumb chicken snitzel, it was lovely until.. i got rudely interrupted. next minute i was flossing my teeth with a big long black curly thick hair..
Yum yum yum. Come here for a feed an it's also a gas station an drinks an stuff inside like a dairy. Good cost place
