Haere mai! Welcome to the Tarawera Ultramarathon, New Zealand’s most prestigious ultramarathon, part of the Ultra-Trail World Tour.

The 10th annual Tarawera Ultramarathon will be on 10-11 February, 2018. Includes inaugural Tarawera 100 Mile Endurance Run. Runners entered in the 102, 87 or 62km race will complete a course that will take them around four lakes, through many forests, past waterfalls and some of the most stunning scenery in the world.

The spectacular course will also take runners through places of immense cultural significance to Maori people, the indigenous people of New Zealand. A total of 1600 participants, including over 700 international athletes and many of the world’s best trail ultra runners, will run the race of their lives from Kawerau to Rotorua in February.

The Tarawera Ultramarathon is a world-class event and a must-do for every runner looking to challenge themselves and experience their own adventure along some of the most beautiful trails in the world. Come and join us in Rotorua and experience this special land and its people.
