Taranaki's Dragon Boat Club.
We paddle twice a week on the Waitara River (times depend on the tides), from the Waitara Yacht Club, on West Beach.
We are a proud, positive and a motivated group who are committed to leading full and active lives. We aim to promote awareness of breast cancer and survivorship, offer support, make new friendships, increase fitness, and have a lot of fun along the way.
Practices are on Sundays and Wednesdays in the summer months and once a week 'til it gets too cold (times depend on the tides). Contact us for weekly paddle times.
Meet at the Waitara Yacht Club, West Beach, Waitara.
We welcome all returning and new paddlers, as well as potential sweeps and drummers.
We are always looking to welcome new members. We welcome women, men, breast cancer survivors - anyone enthusiastic and keen to try their hand at paddling, sweeping or drumming.
