Stunning location! The second time we started here and we love it! Close to Russell Town center, private beach access and a spa pool looking out too the sea. Very hospitable couple and easy to communicate. Looking forward for our next stay at Kokomo retreat.Rooms: 5/5

My husband and I had a short break in the Pacifica unit. Perfect spot with the spectacular view and access down a short pathway to beach below. Spa tub with a view! Close to Russell village but plenty of places to walk close by such as Jim’s walkway which is delightful. Mike n Jan.Rooms: 5/5

We had an amazing time at this retreat the room was great and the views are stunning the spa was lovely and peaceful. They have kayaks that you can use as well it was awesome having a paddle around the bay . We loved this place and would love to go again in the summer .Rooms: 5/5

A beautiful spot in Russell. The perfect getaway with spectacular views. Loved relaxing in the spa and taking in the view. Hearing kiwi at night was an added bonus.

If you are scrolling through here looking for possible places to stay in the Bay of Islands stop right here! We had the most amazing couple of nights at Dave and Anita’s place the only tough thing was leaving! The studio is beautiful with more than you’ll ever need and the view from the garden is breathtaking. The hot tub is the perfect place for your breakfast cuppa watching out for dolphins in the bay. We spotted some on our first morning and shot down to the beach and into the complimentary! kayak to join the whole pod for half an hour of pure joy. Just us and around 15 dolphins with their young dipping and diving under and around us it was the most magical experience and has totally made our honeymoon and we were only on day 3! Even if you don’t see the dolphins it will still be one of the highlights of your trip staying here-the hospitality and friendliness of the hosts is second to none and the studio spotless and really well equipped.

Awesome friendly family place and people that will look after their customers. We will definitely come back in future and one of the best places in Russell. Highly recommend with nice views and private beach.Rooms: 5/5

Awesome location near Tapeka Point overlooking Rocky Bay! Modern 2 bedroom apartment with access to a hot tub

What a gem! My husband and I visited Russell for a couple of days and chose the Kokomo Retreat Pohutukawa room as it is nestled right above a beautiful beach, accessed by a private path. Sea views are gorgeous, Tui enjoying the flaxes in the garden and a short drive to Russell village & walks, makes it an ideal location. The facilities were new and fresh and offered everything we needed. Dave is an excellent host. Champagne in the hot tub after a busy day beachcombing was a must:. We look forward to our next visit.

This is a beautiful spot on a small cliff looking east towards the ocean and islands in the bay. The hosts Chris and Kelvin are amazing, friendly hosts who have excellent local knowledge. A must stay!

Well sorted place in such an idyllic spot. The spa pool must be one of the best located on airbnb.
