Tākina Wellington Convention and Exhibition Centre was built to enable Wellington to attract international and domestic conferences for the benefit of the city, region and country and to provide a place from which to share the stories of the nation.nnThis striking new building is the Capital’s largest built infrastructure investment since the Wellington Regional Stadium two decades ago. Tākina will offer event facilities across three floors and 18,000 sqm, drawing visitors to Wellington to learn, meet and be inspired.
Visited the Doctor Who exhibition at Takina. It's fairly small but really interesting.
The current World Premiere of the Marvel Exhibit is brilliant. Getting tickets for this online is less expensive. Time goes quickly through the exhibition and you should take time to read the static displays - very interesting, highly informative and with some one off production pieces used in Marvel movies, you won't be disappointed in this presentation. Well worth it!
Movie and TV fans should go see this new Marvel exhibition at the Takina centre. The costumes on display have a special feel to them that is difficult to portray in a photograph, probably because they were worn by famous celebrities in all these blockbuster Marvel movies as they carried out their character roles. The attention to detail and thought put into these costumes is extraordinary, beyond that of e.g. a Valentino, Gucci piece of designer fashion. The exhibition which also includes many original comic book attractions and Marvel artworks is perfectly displayed by the Takina centre to make for a world class experience at a reasonable ticket price. The only drawback was I personally found it a bit chilly in the exhibition right at the start until I acclimatised because it was hot outside so if you chill easily I recommend you bring a jersey.
Had a great time at Dr Who exhibit. Fan since late 60's!!!
