Awesome, what a wonderful place, the people are Kiwi's at there best had a wonderful time. Over the years I have been there a number of times I have found it the same . The Moari people of Otaki are special, very nice and well organised. They put on a special event. See pictures attached.

Great place for horse races, although they should really sort something out so that they don't have to block the flow of pedestrian traffic when the horses are walking out takes quite a while.
