Takanini School is a co-educational school catering for Year 1 - 8 students.
Takanini is a co-educational school currently catering for 450 plus children in their first eight years of schooling. The school has a growing roll so an enrolment zone is in place to prevent overcrowding.
We have a commitment to providing quality programmes of learning and strive to ensure the physical facilities and resources are of a high standard. Since 2002 a building programme has been in place and is still ongoing In 2014 a new eight classroom block was completed which includes a technology suite. We have two new adventure playgrounds. We want the best learning environment for our children.
Parental support and co-operation are important in achieving the best learning opportunities for our children. We encourage parental involvement and open communication between home and school. The education of our children is most effective when it is a partnership.
