Such a wonderful couple of nights away in a stunning spot by the water. Stylish and comfy cabins, a better king bed than the one at home, quality linen, best kitchen facilities I've ever experienced at a campground and the cleanest bathrooms. Hosts welcoming, friendly and nothing was a bother with a willingness to share their extensive local knowledge on everything from fishing sites to the best coffee in town. Super handy to the shopping centre - maybe a 50 metre stroll. The icing? Pet friendly!!! Our wee doggo was like a dog with two tails! We've already booked another stay can't wait.
My partner and I travelled from Hamilton to Tairua Campground to have our last trip away before baby comes. This place was nothing short of amazing. Charlie and Heather managers of the campground have created a wonderful experience for all those who stay. They’re welcoming, inclusive and have kept the site extremely clean and tidy. Showers were hot and pressure was perfect. The place wasn’t loud and the people staying on the site were all friendly and gave you space to do your own thing. We have decided this is the place to be and will definitely be coming back again. You can bring your motorhome, van, trailer and cars. Pets are also allowed, we met a few cats and Heather and Charlie’s adorable dog Ben. Highly recommend this place to all. Very cost effective and worthwhile. Thanks team, awesome stay!
This place is a gem. Well looked after and Charlie is such a generous and welcoming host!! He even snuck us a few treats : It was a very pleasant and refreshing stop on our trip
We had an exceptional experience at the Tairua campground, thanks to Charlie and Heather. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed — even though we had a problem with our van, they went above and beyond to help us.nnAs for the campground itself, it’s great value for money: clean showers, a well-equipped kitchen, access to laundry facilities, clean toilets, and a nice common area to relax or play.nnHuge thanks to both of them! We highly recommend this place without hesitation.
Beautiful place. Charlie shows you around when you get there and helps you choose the site you prefer. The lounge room is super cozy and furnished, the kitchen and the bathrooms are clean. Good sized sites huge for my tiny 2-persons tent hahaha. The people are super friendly. Thank you again for a wonderful stay at your campground Charlie, I'll keep great memories of my stay there !! And for the hitchhiking sign worked great!, the advice and the food:
