Really the best Indian food I’ve had! Everything was nice even tried some new things here. Also the service was awesome family owned and the nicest people.
Best Indian food I’ve had in NZ — truly unlike anything in Nelson or even Auckland.nnWe had butter chicken and lamb korma with rice, naan, and papadum — all beautifully made and full of that flavour of home, a real home away from home. The soft lounge music added to the vibe, and the manager from Haryana, India, was one of the warmest, best people I’ve met.nnA new standard, honestly.
Very Good and freshly cooked Curry - Had the Vindaloo which was hot but not mind blowingly hot. We had the Chicken Tikka to share to start with a the chicken was moist and succulent and fresh and plenty of it - beautiful dish. My wife had the Chicken Malabari - which was a great alternative to her usual Korma. The Nan Bread we just OK - had better. Maybe some electric candles on the table would be good to the atmosphere. Awesome service and food was provided by the three family members and the FOH staff. The most succulent, creamy Chicken Malai Tikka with just the right blend of spices made the Chicken Malai tikka the star for the night. The typical Indian style Kachumber was made perfectly well - crisp, tangy and good quantity. Daal Makhai was real treat and to complete the experience that Lachaa parantha and crisp butter did their job. We wish Both the brothers and the team very prosperous years ahead.
Very delicious food!nEven though I ordered mild, the food was still very spicy. But it was worth it.
