Story

Versatile, lightweight and good looking, Alubond USA, Reynobond and Alpolic aluminium composite panels (ACP) are a popular cladding choice for modern architecture worldwide. In New Zealand, architects and facade engineers are also seeking increased strength and performance from locally fabricated product and Symonite believes it has the solution.

The Symonite cladding system is a reinforced system that is not double or back folded. Instead it incorporates specifically designed aluminium extrusions at all panel sides which protect and strengthen the folded edge detail and ensure the face fold can be engineered to meet wind and seismic loading requirements.

The extrusions are set in place at Symonite's factory, where the back face of each panel is rivet-fixed and bonded in place. The finished detail allows for increased accuracy of on site fixing as well as improving strength and performance.

In addition to providing a quality product, Symonite's design and specification team is available to assist at every stage of a project. We offer a design drafting service, providing architects with a complete set of workshop drawings to assist with building consent applications and to ensure cost savings through efficient design and panel use. A PS3 and PS1 supplied by an independent facade engineer can also be issued.
