I am a tourist, and I am not from New Zealand. When I visited Taupo 2 years ago, I end up coming to this restaurant. I had a splendid experience with the salmon sashimi as it is really fresh and also unique. I came back 2 years later, and it was still as good as when I came the first place. Very impressive.
Sushi Paradise is absolutely one of my favorite Japanese restaurants in Taupo, NZ. After sightseeing, my friend and I stopped in for a quick dinner. The food was amazing. I would definitely come back when I get the chance to.
We came in and saw dirty plates and cutlery which are used to serve food. When pointed out to the owner, he said 'oh yes, they should be cleaned but we are too busy today'. Couldn't run out of there fast enough.
I really enjoyed this hot Seafood Udon in winter.
Price does not reflect the portion you get. Paid an extra $3 for rice which I maybe got 3 tablespoons out of. Only saving grace was the sushi was decent.
Really good bento box and very friendly staff
It was probably the worst Japanese food we had in last 20 years. Such expensive with tiny portion made by Korean cook the taste is not authentic at all. I will give 0 star if I have the choice.

Best Sushi in whole nz, even better than all my experience in Europe so far. Also a little family business, the owners doing everything by themselves. Support that little good shop's guys;
