Our Fieldworkers provide support for families where a member is living with mental illness:

Advocacy
Cultural Support
Peer Support Groups
Children Understanding Mental Illness (CUMI) programme
Liaison with Mental Health Service
Each family/whanau member can have different questions about what is happening, and each person can need different kinds of support and information.
The fieldworkers can receive referrals from all sources and works with Community Mental Health Services and Community Agencies or you can contact us directly for free, impartial and confidential assistance. We can arrange to meet with you at a time and place which suits you.

Community Support
We promote greater community awareness and understanding of mental illness.
We can provide education on request to all sectors of the community.
Our committee will advocate for the family perspective in mental health service development/evaluation.
Our library and resource centre contains a wide range of material from national and international sources including;
Pamphlets,Books,Videos/CDs’/DVDs’/Newsletters,Research Material

Peer Led Groups held in Greymouth, Hokitika, Reefton and Westport.
