We drove 50km for an outing to experience Sunday Cantina after listening to the owner on National Radio. The food was excellent and the coffee a blast from the past - bottomless filter, great taste with the full cream milk. Google Maps navigated us to a car park, don't be dismayed the rear entrance is straight ahead!

Exquisite food. Light and nutritious. The name is a little deceptive for the weekend visitor not actually open on Sunday but it's a must every other day.

Must try: spinach and caramelized onion cream cheese scone. The best savoury scone around Wellington! I stop in Waikanae only to visit this place . Thank you!
