Amazing! Worth every one of the 5 stars. Food was attractive, tasty, well labelled & tasty. Incredible range of hot, cold, seafood & desert. Waiters/waitresses constantly circling discreetly to take empty plates or to take any orders. First visit & i sincerely wish we didnt live 3 hours away or i would be back frequently. Best smorgasbord i have eaten at. Tops Valentines by a mile & i used to think they were the epitome.
Definitely a good value. The food is not exceptional, but for the lunch price it’s certainly not disappointing. Full selection of fried foods, some soups, and a cold food bar with some salads, seafood and sushi. Desert bar with sweets and ice cream. A great place if you are hungry and not looking for anything memorable. The staff were really kind and it was really quiet when we visited 1pm.
Best Buffet I have ever tried, it is valuable and yummy for almost everyone. Very friendly and diligent staff, lovely atmosphere. If you travel to New Plymouth, must try this restaurant where can relax you and enjoy a big feast!Recommended dishesDim Sums
This place is a must, to go at least once and try. It's a all you can eat smorgesboard restaurant, at affordable prices. The staff are so friendly and helpful, great selection of food and drinks, two sittings, lunch and dinner. The best thing I like is you don't have to wait for your food to come to you and you don't have to ring for a booking optional. Vegetarian options: There is a selection of foods that don't include meat or dairy Kid-friendliness: Selection of foods for the kids and desserts, 4 different ice creams to choose from yum Parking: 5 parking spaces right in front of restaurant and plenty of street parking. Wheelchair accessibility: Has a ramp leading into the restaurant.
Amazing food, great selection. The buffet was kept fresh and well topped up the entire duration of our visit. Good atmosphere and well laid out so diners could move freely between tables to go to the buffet. Kid-friendliness: pay by age for children is great considering how little they tend to eat. The pricing is fair and reasonable and there is a great assortment for picky eaters. Parking: Some parking directly in front of the building however we parked down the street free parking on Sunday night Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair ramp at front entrance as well as stairs, wide doorways and food at an accessible height for wheelchair users to select their options, the carpeted floor makes it a little slower to move.
Overall what I’d expect as an American going to a buffet- although there were a few alternative dishes like cauliflower instead of mashed potatoes, for example. Oysters, prawns and shrimp on the buffet were decent; the beef plus the chicken with broccoli were good.
Really have nothing to complain. This price you can't get a bowl of salad in an average Auckland restaurant. The Crispy Roasted Pork Belly, is absolutely devine! I'm not sure many Auckland restaurants could beat it here. The selection of desert is amazing. They even have Creme Brulee. I thought only Cordis have such things. Well, it would be better if they put a chocolate fountain in the centre but hey, less than 30 bucks! Very friendly staff here. Definitely for visitors and locals.
It was our first time going here after hearing very good things from friends and family. We rang ahead to check how busy they were and we were able to go in within 10mins of ringing they reserved us a table. Smorgasbord/buffet style. All the food was awesome, they had a range of Chinese sweet and sour pork, fried rice, chow mein etc, Fried foods chips, spring rolls, nuggets, fish bites etc, PORK BELLY, soups, salads, sushi and best of all... OYSTERS in their shell!!!! Desserts were great too and they even had Creme Brule which was another first for me... Pricing per head was worth it, and overall experience was great so we will definitely be back again
Staff were friendly and helpful, decor was pretty tired, food is nothing special, cheap Chinese/fish and chips, pretty cheap though so definitely value for money,, I will say the creme brulee was absolutely delicious though! Kids seemed to enjoy the novelty of all you can eat and lots of space available for big parties
What a beautiful little restaurant we are from auckland poppd down to new Plymouth to visit family decided to meet up with all the family at sun world restaurant . Amazing venue great food at a great and fair price everything was cooked great and nice and fresh . Really enjoyed our meal all you can eat plus coffee and tea .
