I found Summerset by the Ranges terrible. The unit I was put in was 1 bedroom, small and inundated with cockroaches. I had 2 dogs but only allowed to keep 1. Meals were expensive. I went into town to organize meals for myself. I ended up sending my female dog to a vet because she had diarrhea and she picked up on my stress. My male dog was put in the SPCA. He was bought and returned several times, then 1 of the nurses from Summerset took him and I couldn't get him back from her when I left there after 3 horrific months. We had to buy our own apartment plus food and rent. Not much money left after that was taken out of my pension. The people who lived there were friendly. No activities were organized apart from a couple. I was glad to get out of there and thankful I got my money back. I wouldn't recommend Summerset to my worst enemy. I've been away from there now for more than 4 years, but the memories remain.
I am deeply humbled by the genuine caring and friendliness of the staff. They looked after Mum with so much compassion until her last day. I couldn’t but recommend Summerset by the Ranges.
