Most often a clean environment. Quiet and peaceful to sit at the parking and watch the boats etc. Fun experience to fish off rocks or strip off from ramp. Parking is open 24/7 with Cameras. Toilets available.
Too many squatters, drugs, and homeless with dogs and wrecked cars bloody disgusting place
Decided to pack lunch and sit at beach. Went to Sulphur Point and were met with this sight. Have walked around Mount so often hoping to see Orcas and not once. Such an awesome moment
Sulphur Point is the access for boaties to Tauranga harbour and those who like hanging around boats. Home of Tauranga’s biggest marina, yacht club, restaurants, a great place to watch those using one of New Zealand’s greatest resources... its marine environments vid and fotos of harbour and around mayor island
