Lovely young lady served us very bubbly and helpful so nice to see staff happy in their job, also made the best coffee I’ve had for a while. The young man who made our lunch made delicious sandwiches which was also presented very nicely. First time at the Cafe and I will definitely be back!
meals were expensive and no clear explanations given regarding what the makeup of meals were. parts of the big breakfast were cold when it finally came. small salad at $12 was a ripoff, iced frappe at $15 a bit on the pricey side but nothing wrong with the quality.noverall $82 for 3 items and coffee a bit steep
A great discovery, coffee & English breakfast tea great, some breakfast items over done, in general food tasted good.
When arrived looking through the menu go to order and sorry we don't have this or that because yesterday was a busy day and sold out. It's a piss poor excuse how hard is it after close of business to check stock levels for the next day and go to supermarket and purchase anything needed urgently. Anyway ordered some food of what was available. Coffee in a takeaway cup and a smoothie sat down at the table. Coffee came out was in a dine in cup. Sure honest mistake that's fine. Then 2 of 5 meals came out. Waitress went to fresh choice to get ice for a cold drink that was ordered and the chef had completed the other 3 meals but nothing brought out to the table until waitress got back. Food came out cold wedges undercooked. Ordered 3 hash browns for $3 each thinking they would be a genuine hash brown instead recieved 3 little tatter tots. Noticed crumbs in the cracks of the table. And then had a scone that was forgotten about and my apple and fejoa smoothie I ordered came out and ended up being lemon and lime some weird thing that wasn't even on the drink menu that tasted like a lemon based cleaning product. Extremely disappointed in the service, pricing and proportions sizes of the meals. Both my partner and I started to feel sick before we got back home in waiuku. Cafe has great potential. But badly run and poor hygiene. Would of expected alot better for a 4.3 star reviewed cafe
Wouldn’t recommend and unfortunately won’t be back as has the potential to be a lovely cafe. We were a group of mums who were made to feel like an inconvenience for being there as our table was wanted for another group. The service was very slow, stood at the counter for a while before my coffee order was actually taken. $15 for a frappe is a price I’ve never seen before. We were pushed out of the cafe as we were told our table was in fact reserved for another larger group, however there weren’t any reserved signage. Please also don’t take and post photos of us on your Facebook page making it look like your cafe is the place to be.
