Lovely cafe. The food was really yummy. If you ask, you can take your dog to the courtyard via a gate at the back. Lovely relaxed place to have lunch. Lots of quirky stuff, even in the loo.
Have never felt so ripped off. Photos speak for themselves.. We ordered 3 takeaway sandwiches off the menu, costing $45, after waiting half an hour for them to be made, these are what we were given.nWe were seriously shocked that this is what $45 got us... Not the type of sandwich you expect for $15 each, they were thin and floppy, you would at least expect house baked bread and more filling, could have got better sandwiches at 4square next door for a fraction of the price!! Seriously disappointing and unjustifiable! Suggest the owners think about how they would feel paying $45 for these at a cafe!
Dropped by on a road trip to Taranaki. Had the mouth watering chicken pie that must be award winning! The coffee was fab too! Also want to send a huge shout out to the team. I left a personal item in the cafe, the manager offered so many options for getting it back to me and really helped the whole process. Showed to me the honesty and care of people working at this cafe. Thanks so much. It’s all about people.
10/10 the chicken pie is iconic and a must try ! Iced coffee is always the bloody best. Worth the trip out and then I spend the next few months craving it. Best pie in Taranaki. Friendly atmosphere. Good high chairs for kids
This is a cosy ,quirky, little cafe in Opunake. We arrived with the lunchtime crowd so it got very busy and the wait time for food was longer than we expected. There is a tiny area outside which caters for those who enjoy the sunshine while eating. I ordered the BLT which was pretty good. My friend ordered a scone, custard slice and a cuppa. She said her order was delicious.
