Gosh it was a busy night to celebrate a birthday. There were 8 of us and I think every table was full. So service was a bit slow but attentive. We didn't get grumpy looks when a glass for a beer with ice in it was returned.nnThe food was magnificent. We all throughly enjoyed our main meals and desserts.nI think we will be back again.
We dined here for lunch…fabulous relaxed atmosphere…our meals were lovely…very reasonably priced and you get a good sized meal. They said when we arrived they normally wait the tables, they had a private function on and were very busy. this did not bother us at all…the service was still excellent. We will definitely return to this wee treasure…thank you team Suburban 416nI have updated stars to match thanks guys!
Food was tasty, though the ribs were dry and hard. I asked for fries instead of wedges, but it came out with wedges - AND a bowl of fries because they made a mistake. Good job rectifying that! A huge wait to have our orders taken a large group. We arrived at 6.30pm and meals came after 8pm. Very unfortunate when there were young children as part of the group. Been here before with no time issues, so I believe there was not enough staff on this time.nnThere was a game of rugby on so the whole place was packed and very noisy.
Taste sensation. I had the beef welly. And cheesecake. Both amazing. The Staff and service was fantastic. Great atmosphere and homely feeling. The ladies were amazing at making our daughter feel apart of the experience. The whole family loved the food.nAnd the coffees are amazing to pop in for during the week. Legends!
First visit here after the change of ownership. I believe the cook is from a near by restaurant. The staff were great.nI understand that it’s been busy with locals keen to try the place out after the last owners failed to keep it busy.nI’ll be brief and brutally honest. At our table we ordered the Lamb shank, seafood chowder and an entree of chicken skewers.nThe seafood chowder was dry and a little bland. The lamb shank was tasty but not a lot of meat. The chicken skewers were lacking a nutty flavour with an over powering apricot sauce.nAs it’s our local we really hope they step things up from here but we will be back. Good on the new owners for taking a risk.
